Corporate Social Responsibility

Milton Friedman got it right in 1962: “There is one and only one social responsibility of business -- to use its resources and engage in activities designed to increase its profits so long as it stays within the rules of the game, which is to say, engages in open and free competition without deception or fraud.” (Capitalism and Freedom)

At Monticello Capital we embrace this mandate at the same time that we recognize, along with the rest of the financial services industry, just how much those “rules of the game” are changing.

We build our corporate reputation by being as committed to an unrestricted global marketplace and environmental stewardship as we are to the laws and social conventions of a just American society.
